In the past months you’ve told us our pricing was confusing, so today we’re fixing it!

First off, we’re making our server-side and mobile analytics libraries completely free for everyone! Now you never have to worry about where you want to send the data from, do whatever is easiest for you.

Secondly, we’re expanding our free plan to include 1 million API calls per month. This means developers, side projects, and even medium-sized startups will have more than enough leeway to enjoy a hassle-free analytics setup.

Our new pricing has two simple components: data usage and integrations.

Data usage

This part of our pricing scales with how much data you send through Segment.io.

The free data plan includes 1 million events a month. We wanted to make sure that developers, small companies and startups can invest in analytics right from the outset. So this plan also lets you send data from anywhere: the browser, your servers, and soon mobile apps! All of our own side projects, like Socrates, use Segment.io and we want to extend that data-joy to everyone.

The first paid data plan gets you 5 million events a month for just $10/month, and it scales with you.

Integrations

The free plan also includes the vast majority of our integrations. Google Analytics, KISSmetrics, Customer.io, Mixpanel and the rest of your favorite integrations are all completely free to use, just like before.

In addition to the free integrations, we’re expanding our offering of paid business integrations. These are heavy-weight tools with gnarly APIs, and we literally save you weeks of developer time getting them set up. These paid integrations are Salesforce, Omniture, Pardot, HubSpot and Marketo. Each integration has a pricing model that scales with your needs, click one of ‘em for details.

As usual, we add new free integrations every week. And in the coming months we’ll be rolling several more paid integrations like Coremetrics and Webtrends.
